The Soprintendenza of the National Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art - GNAM, is a museum system with headquarters at the National Gallery of Modern Art.

It coordinates four other museums: the Mario Praz Museum House, the Boncompagni Ludovisi Museum for Decorative Arts, Costumes and Fashion, the Manzù Collection and the Hendrik Christian Andersen Museum.

In addition the Soprintendenza is involved in the creation of the new National Museum for the Arts of the 21^st Century - MAXXI, destined to host the most recent of the museum's art collections.
